Welcome to Common Scents. These Terms & Conditions apply when you visit our website or purchase products from us.
Common Scents is an Irish business based in Dublin, Ireland. Our online store is powered by Shopify.
By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions together with the other policies published on our website, including our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Return & Refund Policy.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. Our Products
Common Scents products are handmade in Ireland. Because of their handmade nature, there may be small variations in colour, appearance or finish between individual products.
Our soy candles are made using natural materials. Changes in temperature or storage conditions may occasionally affect the appearance of the wax or cause some oils to appear on the surface. These natural variations do not necessarily affect the quality or performance of the candle.
We make every reasonable effort to display our products accurately online. However, colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on your device and screen settings.
Product descriptions, fragrances, availability and ranges may be changed or discontinued from time to time.
2. Orders
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your order.
After placing your order, you will receive an electronic acknowledgement or confirmation. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where a product is unavailable, information or pricing is incorrect, payment cannot be processed, or we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity.
If we are unable to fulfil an order after payment has been taken, we will contact you and arrange an appropriate refund.
Please check your order carefully before submitting it.
3. Prices & Payment
All prices on the Common Scents website are displayed in euro (€).
Prices may change from time to time. The price applicable to your purchase will be the price displayed when you place your order, subject to correction of obvious errors.
Payment is processed securely using the payment methods offered at checkout.
We may change our prices, product range or fragrance combinations as required, including where the cost or availability of ingredients changes.
4. Availability
All products are subject to availability.
As Common Scents products are handmade, certain products or fragrances may occasionally be temporarily unavailable. Seasonal and limited-edition products are available only while stocks last.
If something you order unexpectedly becomes unavailable, we will contact you and offer an appropriate alternative where available or provide a refund for the unavailable item.
5. Shipping & Delivery
Common Scents currently delivers within the Republic of Ireland.
Our current delivery options, charges and estimated delivery times are set out in our Shipping Policy and at checkout.
Delivery times are estimates and delays can occasionally occur due to postal or courier services or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Please ensure that the delivery address and contact information supplied with your order are accurate.
6. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations
Returns, refunds, faulty or damaged products and order cancellations are handled in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy and your applicable statutory consumer rights.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any rights you have under Irish or EU consumer law.

You may use the Common Scents website for lawful personal use.

Our store is powered by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that enables us to sell our products online.
Purchases made through this store are transactions directly between you and Common Scents. Shopify provides the technology supporting the store but is not the seller of Common Scents products.

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
