ONLINE ORDERS VIA OUR WORDPRESS ONLINE STORE: By placing an order you are offering to purchase a product from us and are subject to the following terms and conditions. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price.

When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement e-mail confirming receipt of your order: this email will only be an acknowledgement and will not constitute acceptance of your order. A contract between us will not be formed until we send you confirmation by e-mail that the goods which you ordered have been dispatched to you.

CHARACTERISTICS OF GOODS: Common Scents – Eco Soy Candles are handmade from all natural products and as such are subject to certain variations in colour and appearance, while we always try to maintain some uniformity, sometimes fluctuations in storage temperatures can cause some of the pure essential oils to leak to the surface. These can simply be wiped away and your candle enjoyed as normal. Very cold temperatures can cause the wax to crack, but this should not affect the burning or quality otherwise of your candle.

PAYMENT TERMS: We currently only accept payment securely via PayPal, through our WordPress  online store. All prices are quoted in Euro. We use pure essential oils, which have a tendency to fluctuate in price. We reserve the right to amend prices of our products, to amend our pure essential oil recipes, or to discontinue products as required without notice. Limited Edition seasonal products are only available while stocks last. If we unexpectedly sell out of your chosen products we will advise you of this delay in delivering your order and will also offer you an alternative product or a full refund.

SHIPPING: We offer standard Post or Courier (DPD) options through our WordPress online store. Standard delivery with An Post, within the republic of Ireland is free of charge, so long as the customer selects that option from the ‘Change Shipping’ choice in the online Shopping Basket at the time of ordering. Otherwise additional postage and packing will be charged, which the customer is notified of during the order confirmation process in their basket. We reserve the right to use the Courier (DPD) delivery service – when doing so proves to be cheaper than when posting with An Post (free standard delivery will still apply if this has been selected t the checkout). Please provide a contact delivery telephone number for all delivery options.

DISPATCH AND DELIVERY TIMES: Orders are usually dispatched within 24 hours of receiving the order notification, excluding weekends and ROI bank holidays. Dispatch times may vary according to availability and are subject to any to any delays resulting from postal delays or force majeure for which we will not be responsible.

Ireland Standard Post Delivery Times: 3 to 5 working days (no parcel tracking available).

Ireland Courier Delivery Times: 2 to 3 working days (with parcel tracking (DPD).

PRODUCT RETURNS: Returns are accepted when products are still new and unused, at the customers expense within 14 days of receipt to:  Common Scents, 22 Beech Park Avenue, Foxrock, Dublin 18, D18Y1T7

When goods have been found to be faulty or damaged you are entitled to a full refund or replacement, we can refund any reasonable standard postal charges paid for returning goods that have been found to be faulty or damaged only with proof of postage or receipt of posting. A refund will be issued using the PayPal refund facility only. When returning items you are advised to obtain proof of posting. We cannot accept responsibility for returned parcels lost in transit.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations are only accepted before the order has been dispatched. Orders are usually dispatched within 24 hours of receipt excluding weekends and ROI bank holidays. If an order has been dispatched prior to the cancellation request, the order will be considered valid and you, the customer will remain liable for the full payment.

YOUR PRIVACY: Any information collected from you will be used solely for the purpose of processing your order and providing the best customer service to you. We will never sell on or disclose information to any third party. Any information passed through 3rd parties (Contact form, WordPress,  & PayPal) from this website, is passed through a secure connection on the internet.

LEGAL: These terms of use shall be governed by and construed fully in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any person attempting to make fraudulent credit card transactions will be prosecuted with no exception.
